This intact vessel has a pear-shaped body with a rounded base. The olpe’s profile is one elegant contour from belly to neck, set off by a profile hoop which widens to a mouth with a everted rim. The handle is triple-ribbed and dramatically upswung, attached at rim and low on the body, where it is set off by a palmette on volutes.
Condition: Intact and in excellent condition; wonderful silky green patina.
Provenance: Formerly priv. coll. Dr. L. M., Zurich, Switzerland. Said to be found together with the mirror, item CL0109a
