Silver-Bronze and filet gold
Greek, archaic Period, 6th century BC
Size 7
The little bronze ape’s head was the top of a fully cast archaic Greek bronze finger ring. The ring was almost completely broken off. We mounted the rescued head on a modern silver ring with a golden filet around the neck. A very unusual hilarious piece.
Condition: Wearable, new modern setting.
Provenance: ex. collection Dr. Leo Mildenberg, Zurich
